I am running for Mayor because I believe Ajax deserves leadership that cares about people, works hard for our community, and is accountable to the residents we serve.
These are not simply campaign words. They reflect the work I have been doing in our community for years.
ACCOUNTABLE
Your tax dollars. Your community. Your voice.
1. Responsible property taxes
I will work to keep property tax increases at or below the rate of inflation, while maintaining essential services and pursuing responsible financial management.
2. Listen. Act. Deliver.
Residents deserve a Mayor who does more than listen to concerns. I will listen to you, act on what can be done, and deliver results.
3. Transparency in government
Residents deserve to understand how decisions are made, how their tax dollars are being used, and why important decisions are being taken. I will advocate for greater transparency and accountability at Town Hall.
4. Accountable to the people of Ajax
I will be accountable to the residents who elect me. I will welcome different perspectives, communicate openly, be honest about challenges, and stand behind the decisions I make on behalf of our community.

HARDWORKING
Leadership that shows up and gets things done.
1. Eight years of community storytelling and advocacy on Rogers TV
For eight years, I have hosted Health 180 with Carion Fenn on Rogers TV, using my platform to educate, advocate, raise awareness, and bring important community conversations to residents across our region.
2. Three years mentoring Durham Region youth
For the past three years, I have mentored youth across Durham Region, helping young people build confidence, develop leadership skills, find opportunities, and believe in their ability to succeed.
3. Proven leadership and community service
As a former Board Trustee with Lakeridge Health and as Founder, President & CEO of the Carion Fenn Foundation, I have worked with community organizations, health professionals, businesses, residents, and volunteers to build partnerships and create meaningful programs.
4. Building a strong and sustainable Ajax
I will work to build an Ajax that is strong, sustainable, inclusive, economically resilient, and prepared for the future—while protecting the quality of life that makes our community a great place to live, work, raise a family, and grow a business.

COMPASSIONATE
A community that cares for everyone.
1. Fighting food insecurity
For more than six years, I have worked with major grocery stores and companies to help collect and distribute food to residents and families.
2. Championing mental health
I have been a strong advocate for mental health and have created and supported initiatives that help reduce stigma, connect people with resources, and ensure that residents—especially our youth—know they are not alone.
3. Supporting people experiencing homelessness
For more than six years, I have helped provide food, clothing, and community support to people experiencing homelessness and those facing difficult circumstances.
4. Putting people first
I believe every resident deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. I will work for a community where seniors, youth, families, people with disabilities, newcomers, and vulnerable residents all have a voice.
